It’s a baby!

In my Advanced Imaging class, this exercise was to extract a human embryo from a series a jpegs from the Carnegie collection. You can check out the Virtual Human Embryo with more information on 3D embryos. The workflow was importing the jpegs into Mimics and then entering individual pixel size and slice distances. Through the program I was able to create a 3D model just from those images. This was an important exercise to practice importing files that are in non-Dicom format. The embryo images I chose were from stage 19 and 21 of fetal development.
